Your NID is the key to accessing the UCF computer network, the Internet, the library, and a world of cyber information. Your NID is used to login to all UCF websites. It is two letters followed by a series of numbers (ex: ab1234567). Your NID@ucf.edu is also your student email address.
How to get your NID
- Go to https://my.ucf.edu.
- Beneath the login button, click on the link “What is my NID?”.
- On the next screen, enter the requested information & click submit.
- Your NID will be emailed to all email addresses on file.
- Use your NID to log into all UCF websites. If you forgot your password, use the password reset.
UCF ID
Your UCFID is a unique student Identification Number, usually 7 digits long. Your UCFID is the key of accessing online registration, class schedule searches, adding or dropping classes, and a lot of other functions, including viewing your grades and fee schedules. Provide this number whenever you visit an advisor or coach. Include it in any email to UCF Faculty or staff, so they can quickly find your information.
How to get your UCF ID
- Go to https://my.ucf.edu.
- Log in using your NID and password.
- On the left menu, navigate to Student Self Service > Personal Information > UCFID Info.

Search the course number on the Undergraduate Catalog, and note the college listed. Locate the college contact information by returning to the Undergraduate Catalog, selecting “Colleges” from the menu, and selecting the appropriate College. They will provide you further instructions.
College of Science Bachelors Degree RequirementsTo Earn a Bachelor’s Degree from UCF within the College of Sciences, Students Must:
- Fulfill the requirements for the chosen major
- Earn a minimum of 120 unduplicated credit hours with at least a “C” average (2.0 GPA) for all UCF course work attempted. Some majors require more than 120 hours
- Earn at least 42 of these 120 credit hours in 3000-level courses or above (upper-division)
- Earn a minimum of 30 of their last 39 hours in regular courses at UCF. Credit by Examination may not be used to satisfy this requirement
- Earn a minimum of 25% of the total hours required for the degree in residence at UCF. For programs that require the minimum of 120 total hours, residency will be 30 hours. For programs that exceed 120 hours, the specific residency requirement increases proportionally and is listed with the requirements for the specific degree program
- Apply no more than 45 credit hours in any combination of extension, correspondence, CLEP, University Credit by Examination and Armed Forces credits toward an undergraduate degree
- Fulfill the General Education Program requirements
- Fulfill the Gordon Rule requirements
- Fulfill the Foreign Language requirements as defined elsewhere in this section
- Earn a minimum of nine credit hours during Summer terms, if applicable.
