■ The IDF announced that they struck several Hezbollah targets in Beiruts southern suburbs after calling on residents to evacuate a number of buldings.
■ The Israeli army says it attacked Hamas compounds previously used as a school and mosque in central Gaza; medics say at least 13 killed and 20 wounded in the attacks.
■ Rocket sirens souned in northern Israel, and the army said that over 30 rockets were launched from Lebanon.
■ U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris says she is 'concerned' about people of Lebanon, and pledged that the U.S. will provide $157 million in aid.
■ UN chief releases statement marking 365 days since Oct. 7: 'It is time to release the hostages, to silence the guns.'

UN chief releases statement marking 365 days since Oct. 7: 'It is time to release the hostages, to silence the guns'
The Secretary General of the United Nations, Antonio Guterres, released a video statement on X marking one year since the events of October 7.
In the video, Guterres said that Hamas "brutally killed" over 1250 Israelis and foreign nationals, "including many women and children," and called the attacks "horrific." He said that "this is a day for the global community to repeat in the loudest voice our utter condemnation of the abhorrent acts of Hamas."
Guterres said that he has presonally met with families of Israeli hostages, and said that he "shared in their anguish and pain," saying that "it is time to release the hostages, and silence the guns."

Vice President Kamala Harris says she is 'concerned' about people of Lebanon, U.S. to provide $157 million in aid
U.S. Vice Presdient and Democratic Presidential nominee Kamala Harris said in a statem net on X that she is "concerned about the security and well-being of civilians suffering in Lebanon and will continue working to help meet the needs of all civilians there."
She also said that "the United States will provide nearly $157 million in additional assistance to the people of Lebanon for essential needs such as food, shelter, water, protection, and sanitation to help those who have been displaced."

Israeli army says it attacked Hamas compounds previously used as a school and mosque in central Gaza; medics say at least 13 killed
The IDF stated that Air Force aircraft attacked compounds that were previously used as a school and a mosque in the Deir al-Balah area in the center of the Gaza Strip. According to the army, Hamas members were active in both compounds.
Medical sources in Gaza reported that at least 13 were killed and 20 wounded in the strike on the mosque.

IDF calls on residents of several areas of Dahiyeh suburb of Beirut to evacuate
The Israeli Army's Arabic Spokesperson, Avichay Adraee, called on the residents of several areas in the Dahiyeh suburb of Beirut to evacuate their homes. In the message, published on Adraee's account on X, several buildings in the neigborhoods of Burj al-Barajna, al-Laylkhi and Harae Hreik, were marked for evacuation.
